Operating as a SalsaNet Project, Alamo Area Wireless features its own Steering Committee, a team dedicated to the project itself, whose principle goals are to: identify key wireless technology companies in San Antonio and the region; act as a forum and conduit for business, education, and outreach; provide networking opportunities for member organizations; work on the regulatory climate and/or provide information about key legislation to member organizations; work with other regional organizations to identify overlap and the needs of the entire region, state and beyond; provide training and identify training resources and workforce needs in San Antonio; and, create "Dummy" Guides for end-users and PDF documents for media and schools detailing the proper setup and management of wireless networks, as well as what not to do. The guides will be wiki style on our site detailing installation walkthroughs of every major OS.
